Ask a QuestionRequest More Information

These RV awning gas struts are a pair of 29 inch lift supports for Dometic camper and RV awnings. When the old struts lose pressure, the awning arms sag, will not extend properly or drift down. New struts bring back smooth extension and retraction.

Application

Dometic camper and RV awnings, manual and power awning arms, with an awning weight between 125 and 166 lb. Measure your old strut and check the part number before ordering.

Fitting tips

Support the awning arm before removing the old strut, since it can drop. Fit the new strut with the rod facing the way the original did. Never heat, cut or puncture a gas strut. For how gas struts work, see the gas spring article on Wikipedia.
