Collection: Cadillac Parts

Cadillac Parts for Sale

This page lists the Cadillac parts we sell. Most of them are for the Escalade, Escalade ESV and Escalade EXT, with a set of LS engine headers that also covers the CTS. Every part shown above can be ordered online, and each product page lists the exact models, years, engine and OE number.

The Escalade is built on General Motors' full-size truck platform and shares many parts with the Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, Avalanche and Silverado, and the GMC Yukon and Sierra. That is good news for owners: parts are easier to find and often cost less than you might expect for a luxury SUV. It is also why many of the Cadillac parts here list Chevrolet and GMC models in their titles. You can find more on our Chevrolet parts and GMC parts pages.

Below, the parts are grouped by system with their key specs, followed by common Escalade repairs, how to check fitment, fitting tips and answers to frequent questions.

Common Cadillac Escalade Repairs

Rear air suspension

Many Escalades from 2000 onward were built with rear air-assisted shocks or air suspension struts that keep the rear level. With age, the air bladders crack and leak. The signs are a rear end that sits low, a compressor that runs for a long time, and a "service suspension" message. Replacing the rear struts as a pair is the usual fix. Our two sets cover the 2000-2014 models and the 2015-2020 models, which use different struts.

Brakes

An Escalade weighs well over 2,500 kg (about 5,500 lb), so brakes work hard, especially when towing. Warped rotors cause a pulsing pedal and steering shake. A complete kit with rotors and ceramic pads restores braking in one job. Be aware that some Escalades were fitted with an optional Brembo brake package with larger front calipers and rotors. Our front kit is for models without the Brembo package, so check your calipers before ordering. See all our brake parts.

Lifters on GM V8 engines

On GM V8 engines with cylinder deactivation, roller lifters are a known wear item. A ticking noise from the top of the engine, a misfire code, or a bent pushrod can point to a failed lifter. Our OEM-number roller lifter (12629698) is a replacement part for this job. Lifter replacement involves removing the cylinder heads on most of these engines, so it is usually a workshop job.

Door handles and actuators

Door handles on the 2002-2006 Escalade ESV and EXT are plastic and become brittle with age and cold. A snapped handle is cheap to fix. Door lock actuators fail over time too: if one door will not lock with the remote, the actuator in that door is the usual cause. See car door lock parts for more.

For the history of the brand and the Escalade generations, the Cadillac Escalade article on Wikipedia lists every generation and its years.

How to Make Sure Cadillac Parts Fit

  1. Generation and year. The Escalade changed generation for the 2002, 2007, 2015 and 2021 model years. Many parts only fit one generation.
  2. Body. The standard Escalade, the long ESV and the EXT pickup share many parts, but not doors, some suspension and some body parts.
  3. Drive type. 2WD and AWD/4WD versions use different front suspension parts and, sometimes, different brakes.
  4. Brake package. Check whether your Escalade has Brembo front brakes before ordering a brake kit.
  5. Suspension type. Check whether your vehicle has air struts, magnetic ride control or standard shocks. They are not interchangeable without a conversion.
  6. OE number. Match numbers such as 15721572, 20783846, 15037957 and 12629698 to your old part.

Not sure? Send us your VIN through our contact page before you order.

Fitting Tips

  • Air struts: switch off the air suspension or remove its fuse before lifting the vehicle, so the compressor does not run while you work.
  • Brake kits: clean the hub faces, use new hardware where supplied, and bed the pads in with several moderate stops.
  • Cold air intake: move the MAF sensor carefully and check all clamps for leaks after fitting.
  • Lift upper control arms: always get an alignment afterwards.
  • Mirrors and switches: test every function before refitting trim.

Cadillac Parts FAQ

Do Chevrolet and GMC parts fit the Escalade?

Many do, because the Escalade shares a platform with the Tahoe, Suburban and Yukon. Some parts are Cadillac-only, so always check the fitment list.

How do I know if my Escalade has Brembo brakes?

Look through the front wheel at the caliper. Brembo calipers usually carry the Brembo name and are larger. Your build sheet or dealer can also confirm it.

Why is my Escalade sagging at the rear?

Most often a leaking rear air strut or air spring. A compressor that runs a lot is another sign.

Can I convert my Escalade rear air suspension to standard shocks?

Conversion kits exist for many years, but our listings here are direct replacement air struts that keep the original system working.

What does a bad lifter sound like?

A steady tick or tap from the top of the engine that speeds up with engine revs, often with a misfire code.

Do you deliver Cadillac parts to my country?

Escalade Generations at a Glance

Most Cadillac parts we sell are for the Escalade, so it helps to know which generation you have. The second generation ran from the 2002 to the 2006 model year and shares its platform with the Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban and Avalanche and the GMC Yukon of the same years. The third generation ran from 2007 to 2014 and again shares much with the matching Chevrolet and GMC trucks. The fourth generation ran from 2015 to 2020, and the fifth generation started with the 2021 model year. The long-wheelbase Escalade ESV and, in earlier generations, the Escalade EXT pickup share many parts with the standard Escalade but not all of them. When ordering, check whether a part is listed for the standard Escalade, the ESV, the EXT, or all three.

How GM Parts Sharing Helps Cadillac Owners

Because the Escalade is built on GM's full-size truck platform, many parts are shared with Chevrolet and GMC models. That includes engines, starters, many suspension parts, door lock actuators and some exterior parts. In this collection, the GM front left door lock actuator 20783846 fits the Silverado, Sierra and Escalade, and the black side mirrors for the 1999-2007 Silverado and Sierra also fit the Tahoe, Yukon and Escalade. The exterior trim and lighting are where the Cadillac usually differs, so check fitment closely for those parts. Browse Chevrolet parts and GMC parts too.

Escalade Air Suspension and Magnetic Ride

Many Escalades have rear air suspension for self-levelling, and many later models also use magnetic ride control dampers that adjust their firmness electronically. When a rear air strut leaks, the rear sags and a suspension warning appears. Our rear air struts cover 2000-2014 Escalade, Suburban, Tahoe and Yukon and 2015-2020 Escalade, Suburban and Yukon. Check whether your vehicle has magnetic ride before ordering, because the connector and damper type differ, and replace both sides of the axle together.

Brakes on a Heavy Luxury SUV

The Escalade is a heavy vehicle, and its brakes work hard, especially when towing. Our front brake kit for 2008-2020 Escalade and Escalade ESV is for models without the Brembo brake package; check your calipers before ordering, because the Brembo package uses different rotors and pads. The front and rear brake kit covers the Escalade ESV with the matching GM trucks. Replace the brake fluid at the interval in your owner's manual; old fluid absorbs moisture and reduces braking performance under heavy use.

Engine Care on GM V8s

Escalades use GM small-block V8 engines, including the 6.0L and 6.2L. These engines are durable, but a few items are worth watching on high-mileage vehicles. Lifters and their rollers can wear, especially on engines with cylinder deactivation, causing a ticking noise and sometimes a misfire. Our GM camshaft roller 12629698 is used in this repair. Exhaust manifold bolts can break, causing a tick on cold starts. Keep up with oil changes using the grade GM specifies, and replace the engine air filter regularly. A cold air intake for the 2015 Escalade and GM trucks is a popular upgrade.

Lifting an Escalade

Some owners lift or level their Escalade for a bolder look or larger wheels. On the 2002-2006 models, lift upper control arms correct the front geometry after a lift; see our 2-4 inch lift upper control arms. On vehicles with air suspension or magnetic ride, lifting needs extra care, so research your exact model and trim, and get a wheel alignment after any change.

Switches and Electrical Parts

On 2003-2007 GM trucks and SUVs, including the Escalade, the 4WD selector switch and the headlight switch can fail with age. Symptoms include the 4WD mode lights flashing, the system not changing modes, or the headlights and dash lights acting up. Our 4x4 selector and headlight switch set replaces both. For the starter on newer Escalades and matching GM vans, see the high torque starter 10910.

Check the Part Number

Cadillac parts often carry a GM part number printed or stamped on them. Matching that number is the surest way to order correctly. You can send us the number or your VIN through our request a part page.

Cadillac Cars: CTS, ATS, DTS and More

While the Escalade is the most common Cadillac we see, Cadillac has built many popular cars too. The CTS, sold across three generations from the 2003 model year, was a rear-wheel-drive sports sedan, with the high-performance CTS-V using GM V8 engines, including the LS6 and LS2 in the first generation. The smaller ATS arrived for the 2013 model year. The DTS and the earlier DeVille were large front-wheel-drive sedans, often with the Northstar V8. The SRX crossover was built in two generations, and the XT4, XT5 and XT6 replaced it. Each of these cars shares parts with other GM models from the same period, so engine, sensor and brake parts may interchange, while body and interior parts are usually Cadillac-specific.

LS Engine Swaps and Performance

The LS family of GM V8 engines is popular for swaps and upgrades, and the early CTS-V used LS engines from the factory. Our LS swap exhaust headers for LS1, LS2, LS3 and LS6 engines list the Cadillac CTS among their applications. When planning any exhaust upgrade, check that the headers clear the steering shaft, starter and chassis on your exact vehicle, use new gaskets, and check local rules on emissions equipment.

The Northstar V8

Many Cadillacs from the 1990s and 2000s, including the DeVille, DTS, Seville, STS and Eldorado, used the Northstar V8. It is smooth and powerful but has known weak points, most famously head gasket failures linked to the head bolt threads in the aluminium block. Signs include overheating, coolant loss with no visible leak, and white exhaust smoke. Oil leaks from the lower crankcase seal are also common. Keeping the cooling system in perfect condition, with fresh coolant and a healthy radiator and fan, is the best protection. Browse cooling system parts for related items.

Electrical Gremlins on Older Cadillacs

Luxury vehicles have many electrical features: power seats, memory settings, heated and cooled seats, power mirrors, keyless entry and complex lighting. As they age, connectors corrode, switches wear and modules fail. Before replacing a part, check the fuse, the ground connections and the connector. Many problems with door locks and mirrors come from broken wires in the door jamb boot rather than the part itself.

Escalade Interior and Exterior Trim

Escalade exterior parts, like the chrome door handles, grille and lights, are often unique to Cadillac even when the part underneath is shared with Chevrolet or GMC. Our rear right outside door handle 15721572 is a textured black handle shared with the Avalanche and listed for the 2002-2006 Escalade, ESV and EXT. Chrome-trimmed versions use different part numbers, so check the finish of your existing handle.

Towing with an Escalade

The Escalade is a capable tow vehicle when properly equipped. Before towing, check the towing capacity in your owner's manual and on the door frame label, use a hitch and ball rated for the load, and make sure the trailer lights and brakes work. Keep the brakes, tyres and transmission fluid in good condition, because towing works them hard. Rear air suspension on many Escalades helps keep the vehicle level with a trailer attached. Find hitches and towing gear in our towing and trailer collection.

Escalade Maintenance Schedule Highlights

  • Oil and filter: follow the oil life monitor and use the oil grade GM specifies; V8 engines with cylinder deactivation are sensitive to oil quality.
  • Engine air filter: inspect at every oil change and replace when dirty, more often in dusty areas.
  • Transmission fluid: service as the owner's manual directs, more often if you tow.
  • Brake fluid: replace every few years, because it absorbs moisture.
  • Coolant: check the level and condition; replace at the recommended interval.
  • Transfer case and differentials: on 4WD and AWD models, change the fluids as recommended.
  • Suspension: check the air struts or air springs, the ride height and the ball joints at each service.

A heavy luxury SUV rewards regular servicing with a long life. Find parts in our maintenance parts and filters and maintenance collections.

Second-Generation Escalade Exterior Parts

The 2002-2006 Escalade, ESV and EXT share many exterior parts with each other but not all. Door handles, mirrors and lights may differ in finish, with chrome trim on many Cadillac parts. Our textured black rear right handle fits listed models; if your truck has chrome handles, match that finish instead.

Cadillac SRX and XT Crossovers

The SRX crossover was built in two generations, the first with rear-drive-based underpinnings and V6 and V8 engines, and the second, from the 2010 model year, as a front-drive-based crossover sharing parts with other GM models. It was replaced by the XT5, with the smaller XT4 and three-row XT6 joining the range. These crossovers share engines, sensors, filters, brakes and many suspension parts with Chevrolet, GMC and Buick models of the same period, so check those brand collections when looking for parts. Common jobs include brakes, wheel bearings, engine mounts, ignition coils and HVAC components.

Getting the Best From Your Cadillac

Cadillacs are built for comfort, and small faults can spoil the experience. A rattle, a noisy bearing, a sagging rear or a faded headlight is easy to fix with the right part. Our product pages list the OE numbers and fitment, so you can restore your Cadillac to the way it drove when new.

For Cadillac parts not listed here, send us the GM part number from your old part and your VIN through our request a part page, and we will check what we can supply.
