Collection: Kenworth Parts

Kenworth Parts for Sale

This page lists the Kenworth parts we sell. Right now the range is headlight assemblies for the 2013-2021 Kenworth T680, in LED and halogen, as pairs or as single sides. Every part shown above can be ordered online, and each product page lists the model, years, side and whether bulbs are included.

The T680 is one of the most common long-haul trucks on the road, and its large wraparound headlights are exposed to stones, sun and vibration every day. Cracked lenses, cloudy covers, condensation inside the lamp and broken mounting tabs are all common. A replacement assembly brings back full light output and a clean look.

Below you will find the parts with their specs, a guide to choosing between LED and halogen, fitting and aiming tips, care advice and answers to frequent questions.

LED or Halogen?

LED headlights give a whiter, brighter light that many drivers find less tiring on long night runs. They draw less current, run cooler and last much longer than halogen bulbs. The trade-off is a higher price, and if an LED module fails, the usual fix is a new assembly rather than a new bulb.

Halogen headlights cost less up front and use bulbs you can replace on their own when they burn out. Light output is warmer and lower than LED.

Whichever you choose, check that the connectors match your truck's wiring and that the lamps carry the road approval required in your country, such as DOT/SAE in North America or ECE marks in many other regions.

How to Order the Right T680 Headlight

  1. Year range. Our lamps are for the 2013-2021 T680. The later T680 Next Gen has a different front end.
  2. Side or pair. Right passenger side means the right-hand side on a left-hand drive truck. Buy a pair if both lamps are worn so they match.
  3. Housing colour. Black and chrome styles look different from the outside. Pick the one that matches your truck or the look you want.
  4. Bulbs. Check whether bulbs are included. The pairs listed here include them.

Fitting and Aiming

  1. Park on level ground, set the parking brake and tilt the hood.
  2. Disconnect the headlight wiring.
  3. Remove the mounting bolts and lift the old lamp out.
  4. Fit the new lamp, tighten the mounts evenly and reconnect the wiring.
  5. Test low beam, high beam, turn signals and marker lights.
  6. Aim the headlights against a wall on level ground, following the specification for your truck and country, so the low beam cut-off sits just below lamp centre height.

For the history of the company and its models, the Kenworth article on Wikipedia is a good overview.

Care Tips

  • Clean lenses during every fuel stop or pre-trip check. Bugs and road film cut light output.
  • Use mild soap, not harsh solvents, which can craze the plastic lens.
  • Look for condensation that does not clear. It means the seal has failed.
  • Use dielectric grease on connectors to stop corrosion, especially where roads are salted.

Kenworth Parts FAQ

Do these headlights fit the T680 Next Gen?

No. They are made for the 2013-2021 T680.

Do the headlights come with bulbs?

The pairs listed include bulbs or light sources. Check the single-side listing for details.

Can I replace just one headlight?

Yes. We sell a right passenger side lamp on its own. A new lamp may look brighter than an old one, so many drivers replace both.

Are LED headlights legal on my truck?

Rules vary by country. Look for the road approval mark required where your truck is registered.

About the Kenworth T680

The Kenworth T680 is one of the most popular on-highway trucks in North America. It was introduced for the 2013 model year as Kenworth's aerodynamic flagship, and the first generation's headlights carried through to around 2021, when Kenworth updated the truck with the T680 Next Gen and a new front end. Kenworth is part of PACCAR, which also owns Peterbilt and DAF, so some parts, such as engines, are shared across PACCAR trucks, but the cab and lighting are specific to each brand. All the headlights in this collection fit the 2013-2021 T680. If your truck is a Next Gen model, it uses different headlights.

Single Headlight or a Pair?

If one headlight is cracked or has failed, replacing just that side is cheapest. Our T680 right passenger side headlight and the T680 driver side halogen headlight P54-6164-100 let you do that. However, if your headlights are faded and yellowed, a new lamp on one side will look much brighter than the old one on the other, and the light pattern will be uneven. In that case, replacing both at once, with a pair like the T680 black headlights pair or the T680 left and right headlight set, gives even, matched lighting.

LED Headlights on the T680

LED headlights use far less power than halogen bulbs, run cooler and last much longer, which means fewer bulb changes and less downtime. They also give a whiter light that many drivers find easier on the eyes at night. Our T680 LED headlights pair is a plug-in replacement for 2013-2021 trucks. When you change to LED, check:

  • That the connector matches your harness without cutting wires.
  • That the lights are approved for road use in your country or state.
  • That the truck does not show a lamp-out warning; some trucks need a setting change.
  • That the beam pattern has a sharp cut-off so it does not dazzle oncoming drivers.

Why Headlights Fade

Truck headlight lenses are made from polycarbonate with a protective coating. Years of sun, road grit, pressure washing and harsh cleaning chemicals wear the coating away, and the plastic yellows and goes cloudy. A cloudy lens scatters light, which reduces how far you can see and can increase glare for others. Restoration kits can help for a while, but a lens that is heavily oxidised, cracked or has moisture inside is best replaced. Use a mild soap when washing the truck, and avoid aiming a pressure washer straight at the lens seams.

Moisture Inside the Lamp

A little condensation that clears after the lights have been on for a while can be normal, because lamps have vents that let air in and out. Standing water, large droplets that do not clear, or rust inside the housing mean the seal has failed or the lens is cracked. Water inside a headlight shortens the life of the bulbs and the LED electronics. Replace the assembly, and check that the new one's vents and seals are not blocked when you fit it.

Fitting a T680 Headlight

On the T680, the headlight assemblies are fitted in the front of the hood or bumper area, depending on configuration. Disconnect the power, support the lamp, unplug the connector, remove the mounting bolts and lift the lamp out. Fit the new lamp, plug it in, test both low and high beams, and then aim the headlights on level ground. Keep the old mounting hardware unless new parts are supplied.

Other Kenworth Service Items

Many Kenworth trucks use heavy-duty air filters shared with other brands, such as our LAF4816 / AF25247 air filter, which also fits Freightliner and Peterbilt models. Engines such as the PACCAR MX and Cummins X15 have their own service parts. Check your engine model before ordering engine parts. Browse our truck and commercial parts and diesel parts for more.

Pre-Trip and Roadside Inspections

Headlights, turn signals, clearance lights and brake lights are checked in every pre-trip inspection and at roadside inspections. A failed headlight can lead to a violation and lost time. Carrying a spare bulb for halogen lamps, and replacing faded lamps before they fail completely, keeps the truck rolling.

Ordering Help

Kenworth part numbers often start with letters such as P54 for lighting. Match the number on your old lamp to the number on the product page. If you cannot find it, send us the number and your VIN through the request a part page.

Other Kenworth Models

Kenworth's range goes well beyond the T680. The W900 is the classic long-hood conventional with a loyal following among owner-operators. The T800 and T880 are vocational workhorses for dump, mixer and heavy-haul work. The T370 and T270 cover medium-duty work, and the C500 is built for extreme off-road and oilfield duty. The T660 was the aerodynamic highway model before the T680, and the T600 before that. Each model uses its own headlights and many unique body parts. If you own one of these trucks and need lights or body parts, send us the part number from your existing part and we will check what we can supply.

PACCAR Engines and Shared Parts

Many newer Kenworth trucks use PACCAR MX-11 and MX-13 engines, while others use Cummins engines. Engine service parts depend on the engine, not the truck model. Kenworth shares the PACCAR group with Peterbilt and DAF, so some engine and drivetrain parts are common across those brands. Our LAF4816 / AF25247 heavy-duty air filter lists Kenworth, Peterbilt and Freightliner applications. Always match the filter part number and dimensions to your air cleaner housing.

Wiring and Headlight Connectors

Most T680 headlight problems that are not caused by a failed bulb or LED come from the connector or the wiring. Road salt and moisture can corrode the pins, and vibration can loosen the connector. When you replace a headlight, inspect the connector for green or white corrosion, clean it with electrical contact cleaner, and apply a thin layer of dielectric grease before plugging in the new lamp. Make sure the connector clicks fully home, and secure the wiring so it cannot rub against the hood or frame.

Halogen Bulb Tips

If your T680 uses halogen headlights, never touch the glass of a new bulb with bare fingers, because oil from your skin creates hot spots that shorten the bulb's life. Handle bulbs by the base, or wear clean gloves. Carry a spare low-beam bulb in the truck, so you can replace a failed bulb on the road and stay legal. If bulbs keep failing early, check for moisture inside the lamp or a voltage problem in the charging system.

Cleaning and Protecting Lenses

Bug splatter, road film and diesel soot dull headlight lenses and reduce light output. Wash the lenses with plenty of water and a mild truck wash, using a soft brush or mitt. Avoid abrasive pads and strong solvents, which damage the protective coating. A plastic-safe lens protectant can help slow yellowing on lamps that see a lot of sun.

More Questions About Kenworth Parts

Do T680 Next Gen trucks use the same headlights?

No. The Next Gen T680 has a redesigned front end and different headlights. Our T680 headlights fit 2013-2021 trucks.

Delivery

Headlights are large items and are packed carefully for shipping. Delivery options and costs appear at checkout and on our shipping page.

T680 Configurations

The T680 has been built as a day cab and with several sleeper sizes, and in different hood and bumper configurations. Most configurations share the same headlights within the 2013-2021 range, but some option packages and special editions may use different trim around the lamps. Before ordering, check your truck's model year and compare your headlight with the photos. The OE number, such as P54-6164-100, is usually on a label on the back of the lamp housing.

Planning Headlight Replacements for a Fleet

Fleet operators running many T680s can reduce downtime by replacing headlights on a planned schedule rather than waiting for failures. If lenses across the fleet are fading at a similar rate, replacing them in pairs during routine services keeps lighting consistent and avoids roadside violations. Track failures and replacement dates so you can spot patterns, such as lamps on trucks that run more at night or in harsh weather failing sooner.

Driver Comfort and Night Visibility

Good headlights reduce eye strain on long night shifts. A clear, well-aimed beam lets drivers see further and react sooner to hazards. Dim, yellowed lights force drivers to strain to see, which adds to fatigue. Upgrading to fresh lamps, especially LED, is one of the simplest ways to make night driving easier and safer for your drivers.

Matching Fog Lights and Marker Lights

If you upgrade headlights to LED, consider matching the fog lights and marker lights for a consistent colour across the front of the truck. Mixing warm halogen and cool LED colours looks uneven. Browse our lighting and headlights collections for options.

Kenworth Parts for Medium-Duty Trucks

Kenworth's T270 and T370 medium-duty trucks are common in delivery and vocational work. Their lights and body parts differ from the T680. If you need parts for these models, send us your part number.

Warranty and Returns

Keep your receipt and the packaging when you buy truck lights. If a lamp arrives damaged or does not match its listing, contact us before fitting it. See our returns and warranty pages for details.

Kenworth T680 Headlight Options Compared

  • Single halogen lamp: the lowest cost fix when one side is damaged; bulbs can be replaced on the road.
  • Halogen pair: matched light on both sides for trucks with two faded lamps.
  • LED pair: brighter, whiter light, lower power draw and long life; higher up-front cost.
  • Black housing: modern blacked-out look.
  • Chrome housing: classic bright look, suited to trucks with chrome trim.

Think about how many hours your truck runs at night, how long you plan to keep it, and the look you want. Owner-operators who run mostly at night often find LED lamps pay for themselves in fewer bulb changes and better visibility.

When to Replace vs Restore

Headlight restoration kits can improve slightly yellowed lenses, but they remove a thin layer of plastic and the protective coating. Without a new UV coating, the lens yellows again quickly. If the lens is cracked, pitted, has internal moisture or a damaged reflector, replacement is the better choice. New lamps also come with fresh seals, which keep moisture out.

Reducing Night-Time Fatigue

Long-haul drivers spend many hours driving after dark. Bright, well-aimed headlights reduce the effort of watching the road, help drivers spot hazards and animals earlier, and make signs and lane markings easier to read. Replacing tired headlights is one of the simplest ways to make night driving safer and less tiring for drivers. Combined with clean windscreens, good wipers and properly adjusted mirrors, it makes a real difference on long runs.
