The 2017-2022 Outlander uses an electric parking brake that is built into the rear calipers. When the motor or the piston fails you may get a parking brake warning, a clicking noise, or a rear wheel that won't release. Fit
- Mitsubishi Outlander 2017-2022
Before you fit the Mitsubishi Outlander rear brake caliper
Electric parking brakes have to be put into service mode before the caliper comes off, usually with a scan tool. Don't force the piston back by hand. Once it's fitted, bleed the brakes and run the parking brake calibration. Wikipedia's disc brake article has background on caliper types. This is best done by a mechanic with a diagnostic tool.
