Chevy Malibu Brake Booster, Fits Buick LaCrosse & Regal 2010-2017 (13317102)

A hard brake pedal, a hiss from under the dash when you press it, or a car that takes longer to stop are the usual signs of a failing booster. This Chevy Malibu brake booster is a vacuum power booster for the Malibu and several Buick models built on the same platform. It comes without the master cylinder, so you move your existing one across.

Fitting notes

The booster sits behind the master cylinder on the firewall and uses engine vacuum to add force to the pedal. You can read how a vacuum servo brake booster works on Wikipedia. Test the vacuum hose and check valve before replacing the booster, since a cracked hose gives the same symptoms. Bleed the brakes after the master cylinder goes back on.
