4Pcs Running Boards For 2024-2025 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab/Crew Cab Side Steps

Running Boards for the Toyota Tacoma Double Cab and Crew Cab

This is a set of 4 running boards built for the 2024-2025 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab and Crew Cab, sized specifically for the 4-full-size-door configuration and not compatible with the 2-door Access Cab or any 2005-2023 Tacoma. If you're tired of stepping up a long way to get into the cab, or need a more stable step for loading gear or kids into the back seat, these running boards bolt on using a triple-tube design without cutting or drilling.

Why Fitment Matters on These Running Boards

Because Toyota redesigned the Tacoma for the 2024 model year with a new body and door structure, running boards built for the previous generation, which ran from 2005 to 2023, do not fit the new truck, and boards sized for the Access Cab's smaller rear doors do not fit the Double Cab or Crew Cab's four full-size doors either. This set is sized specifically for the current-generation Double Cab and Crew Cab, which is why confirming your Tacoma's cab configuration before ordering matters more than it would for a part that's carried over generation to generation.

Compatibility

Fits the 2024-2025 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab and Crew Cab with 4 full-size doors only. Not compatible with the Access Cab (2 large front doors and 2 small rear doors) or with any 2005-2023 Tacoma. Checking your Tacoma's cab style against the listing photos before ordering is worth the extra minute, since the current and previous generations look similar from a distance but use entirely different body dimensions.

Why Add Running Boards

Beyond making entry and exit easier for shorter drivers or passengers, running boards on a truck this tall also give kids, pets, and anyone loading cargo into the truck bed a stable place to step rather than climbing directly onto the tire or rocker panel. The two-step layout on this set is specifically aimed at trucks running a lift kit or larger-than-stock tires, where the extra ride height would otherwise make the factory step-in height even more of a reach.

Installation Notes

Installing this set means mounting the included brackets to the Tacoma's factory frame mounting points and then attaching the running boards to the brackets, all without cutting, drilling, or modifying the truck. Because the brackets ship unwelded to the boards themselves, there's some adjustment room to get the fit and alignment right on both sides before fully tightening the hardware, and taking the time to get that alignment even on both sides makes a visible difference in the finished look. Because the kit uses the factory frame mounting points, no drilling or cutting into the truck's body is required at any step of the installation.
